بهجت صدر (۱۳۸۸-۱۳۰۳ ه.ش) نقاش هنر معاصر و مدرن ایرانی بود که از روش های سنتی نقاشی جدا شد و سبک خود را با استفاده از چاقوی پالت روی بوم یا سطوح غیر‌سنتی مانند فلز ایجاد کرد
Behjat Sadr (1924-2009) was an Iranian contemporary and modern art painter who broke away from traditional painting methods and created her own style using a palette knife on canvas or non-traditional surfaces such as metal.
.او اغلب با نفت نقاشی می‌کرد، و به نقش نفت در تقویت صحنه هنر ایران در دهه های ۱۳۳۸ و ۱۳۴۸ اشاره می‌کرد
She often painted with oil, noting the role of oil in strengthening the Iranian art scene in the decades of 1960 and 1970.
از او چنین نقل شده است: من بهجت صدر نقاشم. از ناچاری به نقاشی رو نیاوردم، از امکانات نمایشگاه‌های دنیا به خاطر فروش نفت استفاده نکردم. به طبیعت بیشتر از انسان‌ها کشش داشتم، به پرتگاه‌ها رفتم اما سقوط نکردم. وابستگی دینی را در جوانی با چرخاندن کره کنار گذاشتم. در آپارتمانی با مبل‌های ناراحت مارک‌دار زندگی می‌کنم. لباس‌هایم بیشتر سیاه است. هنر باعث جدایی از دخترم نشد، سفر زیاد کردم و از سنگلاخ‌ها گذشتم، گاهی سنگریزه‌ها آزارم می‌داد

“I am Behjat Sadr, I am a painter. I didn’t turn to painting out of desperation, I didn’t use the facilities of world exhibitions because of selling oil. I was attracted to nature more than humans, I went to the abyss but did not fall. I gave up my dependence on religion in my youth by spinning the globe. I live in an apartment with uncomfortable branded sofas. My clothes are mostly black. “Art did not separate me from my daughter, I traveled a lot and passed through the rugged terrain, sometimes the grit bothered me.”
او اولین نقاش زن معاصری بود که در سطحی مشابه نقاشان مرد هم‌عصر خود در ایران مورد تجلیل قرار گرفت
